Terms of Service

Account Creation: When you purchase the full assessment, an account is automatically created using the email address provided during checkout. You can access your account via magic link authentication (passwordless login).

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account, as it is used for authentication. You agree to notify us immediately at support@lifegoalsapp.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Account Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account and to update such information to keep it accurate and current.

Pricing: The full assessment is a one-time purchase of $39 USD. Prices are displayed in USD and are subject to change. Any price changes will not affect existing purchases.

VAT/Tax: For customers in the European Union, VAT is included in the displayed price and will be shown on your receipt. For customers outside the EU, prices are exclusive of any local taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction. Our VAT number is SE559459352601.

Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your credit card information.

Refund Policy: We offer a 14-day refund policy for purchases where you have not yet started the assessment. If you change your mind within 14 days and have not begun the assessment, contact us for a full refund, no questions asked.

After Starting the Assessment: Once you begin the assessment, refunds are only available at our discretion for the following reasons:

• You experience technical issues that prevent you from completing the assessment
• There was an error in billing

EU Consumers: Under EU consumer protection law, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from your purchase. Your purchase grants you access to start the assessment at any time. The digital content is only delivered when you actively choose to begin the assessment. Once you start the assessment, the delivery of digital content begins and the right of withdrawal no longer applies.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on the Service
• Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or resell any part of the Service without our express written permission
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without our consent
• Share your account access credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account
• Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Service
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity

Our Content: The Service, including its design, features, code, text, graphics, logos, and content, is owned by LifeGoals and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The life goals taxonomy is based on peer-reviewed research by Chulef, Read & Walsh.

Your Content: You retain ownership of your assessment responses and results. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your data solely as necessary to provide the Service to you.

License to Use: Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

Not Professional Advice: The LifeGoals assessment is a self-reflection tool and is NOT intended to provide professional psychological, medical, therapeutic, or counseling advice. The results should not be used as a substitute for professional consultation. If you are experiencing mental health issues, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

No Guarantees: While our assessment is based on peer-reviewed research, we make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or usefulness of the results for your specific situation. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Disclaimer of Warranties: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

How AI Is Used: Our Service offers optional AI-powered personalized insights for full assessment users. When you choose to generate these insights, your assessment results are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI to create a personalized summary of your strengths, growth areas, and actionable recommendations.

AI Limitations: AI-generated content is provided for informational and self-reflection purposes only. While we strive to provide helpful and accurate insights, AI-generated content:

• May not always be accurate, complete, or applicable to your specific situation
• Should not be considered professional advice (psychological, medical, therapeutic, or otherwise)
• Is generated based on patterns in your assessment data and may not capture your full context
• May occasionally produce unexpected or irrelevant suggestions

User Responsibility: You are responsible for evaluating the usefulness and applicability of any AI-generated insights to your personal circumstances. We encourage you to use these insights as a starting point for self-reflection rather than as definitive guidance.

Data Processing: When generating AI insights, your assessment data is sent to Anthropic for processing. This data is handled in accordance with both our Privacy Policy and Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LIFEGOALS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or your personal information
• Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service
• Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted through the Service
• Any errors or omissions in any content or data

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $39 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Account deletion is permanent and will:

• Remove all your assessment data from our servers within 30 days
• Delete your email preferences and communication history
• Terminate your access to the Service

We recommend exporting your data before deletion, as this action cannot be undone. Certain information may be retained as required by law (e.g., payment records for tax purposes).

Informal Resolution: Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@lifegoalsapp.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will try to resolve disputes within 30 days.

Binding Arbitration: If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Swedish Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in English. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

Exceptions: Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or unauthorized use of trade secrets.
